A&E Construction Featured in House & Home Magazine!

If you're looking to learn more about New Jersey's Clean Energy Program and get some tips on how to go about making home energy efficient improvements, we recommend reading A&E Construction's feature in House & Home Magazine's April Edition!

To read the full feature, you can go to House & Home's digital edition and flip to page 65.  Below are some of the main points from the feature:

What is an Energy Audit?

A physical inspection of the home to identify areas where the home is using and losing energy. A thorough home energy audit (which should take three to four hours) will examine the entire house as a system to be optimized for energy consumption, home comfort, and safety.

The Auditor

All contractors in the NJ Clean Energy program must be certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI), the leading national standards development and credentializing organization for residential energy efficiency retrofit work.

What is the ENERGY STAR Program?

The NJ Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program offers incentives to homeowners who receive a home energy assessment from a participating contractor and make the necessary repairs to improve home comfort and save energy.

American Standard in Consumer Reports Magazine!

Consumer Reports May Issue hit the stands a few days ago with an article giving high marks to American Standard for their A/C equipment.

American Standard is a global manufacturer of air conditioning systems, bath & kitchen products, and more. A&E Construction is a proud installer of American Standard heating & cooling equipment and our installation comes with a 10 year parts & labor warranty.

Consumer Reports National Research Center took a survey of 40,000 readers who purchased a central air conditioner or heat pump from 2005 through mid-2011. The graphs show the percentage of models that were repaired during this time.

In the graph comparing Conventional Central Air Conditioners, American Standard had the fewest repairs from among 10 competing brands.  American Standard again was ranked the best for the fewest repairs of Central Heat Pumps from among 7 other brands.

Consumer Reports advocates that "Choosing one of the more reliable brands in our survey can boost the odds that you will be comfortable."  American Standard equipment is a top brand if you're looking to minimize repairs while cutting down on utility bills.

A&E Construction highly recommends American Standard equipment for clients who are looking to make energy efficient home improvements on their home.
